In our society, prisons represent a place of deprivation of liberty. I photographed prisons from above by using a drone. With my drone photo series, I symbolize freedom that is the opposite of everyday life of the prisoners. And I wonder, "Do we have freedom outside of prison in our society?"

In my photography, an oppressive atmosphere is created by the realization that even a daily walk that everyone needs is only possible behind the walls. In my work, you see the prisoners as small-scale human figures with outstretched shadows as if their souls are more spacious than their physical space. Their shadows represent their desire to be free again, and the prisoners' thoughts that cannot be locked behind bars.

The codes and markings in the photographs could be deciphered by reading the indirectly created graphic figures and shapes. My photo series is also a social project that encourages people in society, especially young people, to realize that crimes end in imprisonment and prison isn't the most romantic place to be.
