The Tashkent House of Photography

Tashkent House of Photography tells the residents and guests of Tashkent about the best achievements in the art of photography, helps young photographers to master the art of photography. This architectural monument was constructed in 1934 from the design of well-known Uzbek architects K. Babievsky and A. Petelin and the idea of ethnographer painter V. Rozvadovsky.The THP building is a spacious exhibition hall with an area exceeding 1500 square meters. The office facilities are in the upper part of the building, over the arch tympan. A unique carved door adorning the portal has been executed by a group of famous Tashkent woodcarving masters headed by Usto Gafuri Khodji Ashur and Raufi Yakub.
