Bond’s photographs look beyond its kaleidoscopic surface to reveal the tenderness embedded in its creation — a gesture of love that transcends borders and words. Through colour, texture, and light, she reflects on how places themselves can communicate connection. In an age of division, In Every Language — Love stands as a quiet reminder of humanity’s shared longing for unity and grace.

Maureen Bond: In the California desert, Salvation Mountain rises from the earth like a hymn painted in every colour. Built by one man out of devotion and belief in love, it stands as a handmade monument to faith, hope, and belonging. I was drawn not only to its vivid surface but also to its spirit — the sense that anyone, from anywhere, can arrive and feel welcome.

This mountain speaks many languages: love, colour, invitation. In a divided world, it reminds us of the common ground we can still create.

These photographs explore connection not through people, but through place — through the care poured into a public gesture, a sacred message made visible. This mountain speaks many languages: love, colour, invitation. In a divided world, it reminds us of the common ground we can still create.
