Satijn Panyigay photographs empty exhibition spaces in museums and their depots, as well as interiors of newly built houses and buildings undergoing renovation. During solitary, meditative explorations of the orphaned spaces awaiting use, images emerge that create a balance between light and dark, serenity and gloom, resilience and vulnerability. With "Inland" we present Satijn Panyigay's first solo exhibition outside the Netherlands.

"(...) And then time slows down and even seems to stop. A new space opens up, a space of silence, of stillness, where the viewer can let go. A space of contemplation. It is a personal experience, but at the same time a universal value." Cathy Jacob in her catalogue text.
